Besan ka Laddoo

Besan ke laddoo or gram flour ladoo is a popular Indian sweet made from gram flour, sugar, and ghee. Here is a delicious besan ka laddoo recipe for your Diwali sweets

  • 1 cup Ghee / Ghee
  • 2 cups besan/gram flour (coarse)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 pods cardamom
  • 2 tbsp melon seeds
  • 2 tbsp cashew/cashew (chopped)

Instructions

  • Firstly, heat a cup of ghee in a large pan and add 2 cups of gram flour to it.
  • Fry on low flame till the gram flour mixes well with the ghee.
  • Continue frying on low flame. If the mixture becomes dry then add one tablespoon more ghee.
  • After 20 minutes, ghee starts coming out of the gram flour.
  • Continue to fry the besan till it turns golden brown and grainy. This may take about 30 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a large bowl, and allow it to cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, dry roast 2 tbsp melon and 2 tbsp cashew nuts.
  • Fry on low flame till the nuts become crisp.
  • Add roasted dry fruits to the roasted gram flour mixture.
  • Take 1 cup of sugar and 4 cardamom pods in a blender.
  • Make a fine powder without adding water.
  • When the gram flour cools down (slightly hot) add powdered sugar.
  • Mix well all together. If the mixture is hot avoid sugar, as it will melt the sugar and make the mixture watery.
  • Prepare a ball-sized laddu and adjust sugar as per requirement.
  • Enjoy delicious besan laddoo and share it with family and friends.

Moong Dal Pitha

One of the sweetest and tastiest Bengali Desserts, Moong Dal Pitha is surely a perfect way to celebrate the festive season, such as Diwali, as the festival is incomplete without sweets and lip-smacking cuisines. Try out this Moong Dal Pitha recipe, and thank us later!

  • 2 tsp Ghee / Ghee
  • cup moong dal
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • Oil for frying

For sugar syrup:

  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 tsp saffron
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  • First of all, take 1 tsp of ghee in a pressure cooker and fry a cup moong dal.
  • Add some water and 1 cup of milk.
  • Cook on medium flame to wait for 4 whistles.
  • Make the dal smooth.
  • Add a cup of water and mix well so that a smooth consistency is formed.
  • In the next step, add 1 cup of rice flour and mix well.
  • Keep stirring until the mixture starts separating from the pan.
  • Add 1 tsp ghee and keep mixing. Pull apart the pan easily until a non-sticky dough is formed.
  • Take a small ball-sized ball and shape it.
  • Deep fry till golden brown.
  • Drop them in hot sugar syrup and let them rest for 2 hours before serving Moong Dal Pitha.
  • Rabri

    • Milkmaid
    • Milk
    • 100 grams, of grated and mashed paneer
    • 6-8 chopped almonds
    • tsp cardamom powder
    • 6-8 chopped pistachios

    Instructions

    • Take a heavy bottom pan and add milk and Nestle milkmaid and grated and mashed paneer. Knead well.
    • Bring to a boil and cook on a medium flame till it reduces to about half while stirring continuously. remove from heat.
    • Add cardamom powder and garnish with almonds and pistachios. serve cold
