We bring you 3 healthy cupcake recipes that you will enjoy making and eating with your friends and family. 

  1. Lemon Blackberry Cupcakes: Lemon flavoured cupcakes frosted with blueberry icing on top. The sweet and savoury flavours will complement each other well. A dessert for the spring and summers. 

Cupcake Ingredients: 

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest 
  • ¾ cup maple syrup or honey 
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup non fat cream 

Frosting Ingredients: 

  • 1cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup honey 
  • 2 tsp vanilla 
  • 2-3 teaspoon blackberry puree
  • ¼ teaspoon salt 
  • Blackberry fruit for topping 

Recipe: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease the cupcake liners
  2. Take a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and lemon zest. Combine well and set aside
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, maple syrup, butter, vanilla, and cream until smooth
  4. Add flour batter into the butter mix. Stir and combine. Do not over mix. 
  5. Divide batter between the prepared cupcake liners. 
  6. Bake until fluffy and allow it cool before frosting
  7. For the frosting, combine all the ingredients except the blackberry puree
  8. Now, add blackberry puree with the spoon and mix well
  9. Put it in a piping bag and frost the cupcakes
  10. Top with blackberry. 

Note: You can substitute the mentioned ingredients with vegan or gluten-free ingredients

2) Peanut Butter Cupcakes: Moist and decadent cupcakes with sweet frosting that will make nobody feel guilty of stuffing their mouth with cupcakes one after the other. 

Cupcake ingredients: 

  • 2 cup flour 
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt 
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup nonfat milk
  • ¼ cup non fat yogurt 
  • 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons sugar 
  • 1 tbsp edible oil 

Frosting ingredients: 

  • 1 ¾ cup yogurt 
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar 

Recipe: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease the cupcake liners
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda
  3. In a separate bowl, add mashed bananas, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and edible oil 
  4. Add in yoghurt, stirring with no lumps alternating with flour and milk
  5. Incorporate all the ingredients well 
  6. Fill the cupcake liners half full and bake. Take the toothpick challenge
  7. For the frosting: Beat yogurt, butter, and sugar. Fill in the piping bags and frost the cooled cupcakes before serving. 

3) Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cupcake: Decadent chocolate cupcakes with raspberry frosting will be a delight to eat. It is one of the cupcakes recipe that is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any other romantic indulgence. 

Cupcake Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup non fat yogurt 
  • ½ cup nonfat milk 

Frosting Ingredients: 

  • ⅔ cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 cup nonfat yogurt 
  • 2 tbsp nonfat sugar 

Recipe: 

  1. Preheat the oven, prepare the cupcake liners, and measure your ingredients correctly 
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder
  3. Take a separate bowl, add to it butter, eggs, vanilla extract. Stir in sugar. 
  4. Stir in flour, milk, and yogurt while incorporating the ingredients and combining them well. 
  5. Pour the batter into cupcake pans and bake until soft and fluffy 
  6. Beat yogurt and sugar. Add in raspberry puree
