  • 1 cup cherries
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup water

For cherry compote

  • 1 cup cooked cherries (from syrup)
  • 1 cup fresh cherries
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp cornflour

For ganache

  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • ½ cup chopped chocolate

For chocolate shavings

  • Melted chocolate
  • Whipped cream (to frost and layer)

Instructions For Black Forest Cake Recipe

1. Take three 8 inch baking pans and line them properly with parchment paper.

2. Do not forget to preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
